United Way of West Florida Agency Certification
Thank you for your interest in partnering with United Way of West Florida. If your organization is a nonprofit organization serving Escambia and Santa Rosa counties and would like to be considered for funding through United Way of West Florida’s Community Investment process, you must first become a Certified Partner through the Agency Certification Process.
Becoming a Certified Partner Agency shows potential funders that your organization has been thoroughly vetted and meets United Way of West Florida's standards for transparency, financial health, and governance. It also allows you to join a resourceful network of organizations within our community and access unique partner benefits.
United Way of West Florida's 2021-22 Agency Certification period is now open. Applications must be submitted by October 22, 2021.
Agency Certification Training sessions will be held on October 6th and 8th. These sessions will be hybrid, offering both in-person (at the United Way of West Florida office) and virtual attendance via Microsoft Teams. In-person attendance is limited to 12 people per session. Masks are required in accordance with CDC health recommendations. Attendance is encouraged but not required.

Agency Certification is an annual process that opens in the fall of each year and allows nonprofit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties to join a passionate network committed to improving our community.
Agencies must re-apply for Certification each year.
All organizations must re-apply each year regardless of past certification status. Certification is not guaranteed.
Becoming a Certified Partner Agency does not require your organization to submit a Community Investment grant application.
If your organization does submit a Community Investment grant application, funding is not guaranteed.
Becoming a Certified Partner of United Way of West Florida has a number of benefits. It does not, however, guarantee that a program will receive Community Investment grant funding. As a Certified Partner, your agency is eligible to receive the following benefits and more.
- Promote job listings and agency events through United Way of West Florida channels
- Join the United Way Agency Director's Association (UWADA) and take advantage of additional benefits and resources
- Receive discounted registration for Pensacola State College Nonprofit Center events and workshops
- Show funders that your organization meets United Way's standards for transparency, financial health, and governance
If you'd like more information about Agency Certification, or if you have any trouble using the E-Cimpact platform to submit your application, please email Mary Zaledonis. Once submitted, our Finance Committee will review the applications and all certified partners will be notified of their status.
