Community Spirit on Display at United Way of West Florida’s Day of Caring

Pensacola, Fla. – October 4, 2019
Throughout Escambia and Santa Rosa counties today, United Way of West Florida volunteers rolled up their sleeves and gave back to area nonprofits and schools by completing over 150 service projects for the organization’s 27th Annual Day of Caring.

UWWF Kicks Off 2019 Campaign Season

Pensacola, Fla. – September 17, 2019

A capacity crowd of just under 400 community members joined United Way of West Florida at the Pensacola Bay Center for their Annual Campaign Kickoff Celebration on Tuesday. Adorned with collegiate and professional football jerseys, shirts, and attire, attendees enjoyed a catered stadium meal from the Bay Center before the program began.

Previously known as the Community Chest, the United Fund, and United Way of Escambia County, the organization will now operate as United Way of West Florida (UWWF). On June 12, the organization received notice from the Florida Department of State that the name change amendment had been processed.

UNITED WAY OF ESCAMBIA COUNTY AWARDS $850,000 IN GRANT AWARDS THROUGH COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROCESS

United Way of Escambia announced on Thursday the 29 nonprofit agencies receiving $850,000 in grant awards through the organization’s Community Investment Process. Programs operated by these agencies provide critical services to individuals and families across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties in the areas of health, education, and financial stability.
