Lauren Meadors is a non-profit fundraising and communications professional born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. As the Director of Development at United Way of West Florida, Lauren oversees the team raising funds for the organization through special events, corporate engagement, grants, individual gifts, and more. Her career started in social services fundraising, continued into non-profit management and leadership, non-profit marketing and communications, and even forayed into Corporate Social Responsibility for a regional business, before returning to her dream job as a fundraising professional.
A double Argonaut, Lauren received both a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations and a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Leadership from the University of West Florida. Her graduate thesis focused on fundraising ethics, work that she is deeply passionate about to ensure dignity while improving lives. Lauren loves reading, painting, writing, and serenading her bearded dragon, T-Pain, on the guitar.
