United Way of West Florida (UWWF) Mini Grants are available to grassroots nonprofits serving under-reached communities. Mini Grant funding can only be used for capacity-building efforts. This funding will be used to strengthen the nonprofit's structure to sustain services offered in the community.

The maximum funding available is up to $5,000 per nonprofit.

Mini Grants will NOT be awarded to any agencies that have previously been awarded a Mini Grant or a 2025-2026 Community Investment Grant

Capacity-building funding options:

  • Professional development/training fees (i.e., how to collect data, diversity, Board training)
  • Accounting services
  • Consulting fees
  • Organizational expenses (except salaries)

Funds can NOT be used for:

  • salaries
  • reimbursements
  • matching funds
  • capital campaigns
  • endowments
  • lobbying
  • one-time program project
  • event planning/volunteer appreciation

Your nonprofit is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit for at least 12 months with an impact area in Education, Health, and/or Financial Stability.
You serve Escambia and/or Santa Rosa counties in Florida.
You can show financial trustworthiness by providing financials, 990, and information on different process.
You have an organization revenue under $250,000.
You have a Board of Directors that aligns with state and federal guidelines; have documented and approved minutes; and include members who are not related to one another nor organization staff.
You have previously received a United Way of West Florida Mini Grant.
