Q: What does a typical day look like for you as a 211 operator?
Those simple words from Mr. Johnny carry a lifetime of resilience, service, and gratitude. Today, thanks to the support of United Way of West Florida, the Florida Veteran Support Line (FVSL), Habitat for Humanity, and the generosity of an anonymous donor, Mr. Johnny is sleeping comfortably again. But his story stretches far beyond a mattress—it’s a story shaped by service, perseverance, and a lifelong belief in helping others.

Pensacola, Fla. - United Way of West Florida recently conducted QPR, or Question, Persuade, Refer training for Pensacola Habitat for Humanity.
QPR is a free training program offered by UWWF to any local organization or school. QPR is not a form of counseling or treatment but is an intent to offer hope through positive action for those who are struggling with mental health.
